What is Midwifery ?

  •  Midwifery is a highly specialized clinical practice that focuses on antenatal, labour and delivery and postpartum care to 6 weeks.    


  • Midwives have similar scopes of practice as Family Physicians who provide maternity care. 


  • Midwifery care is free with a BC Healthcare card.
